The welded metal flange that makes up the casing head also goes by the name drive pipe. It seals the space between the casing and the wellhead assembly, which both supports the intermediate string and the production string. Additionally, it connects the casing to the wellhead assembly. Additionally, Casing Head is compatible with a variety of wellhead assemblies, both in terms of type and size. As a result, the casing head serves as a crossover connection that enables the installation of the bop, the tubing head, the Christmas tree, and other components of the top wellhead. It is also used to monitor the well sink, inject additional cement slurry or balance fluid, and carry out other operations through either one of the two bypass holes that are located in the casing head body.
