Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (PHPA) is a polymer that is used a lot in the oil and gas industry because it is cheaper and dissolves well in water. It make water-based drilling fluids work more efficient. It keeps shale formations stable and affects cuttings and maintain wellbore stabilized .   its application ranging from low solids to heavy weighted mud.
